Our Story
I am Joan Schutte the Owner of My Dads Favorite Cookies. I started my business in 2003 in honor of my Dad who passed in 2002. I originally began baking these shortbread cookies for him to help lift his spirits during his battle with cancer and they quickly became his favorite cookies.
After he passed I was encouraged by family and friends to open up a business and sell my cookies to the public. My first account was AJ’S Fine Foods where I have sold my cookies for the past 21 years. Along the way away I added brownies, cupcakes and other small desserts.
Recently I decided to change course and am now selling these treats directly to my longtime customers and hopefully some new ones too. I am also exploring a retail store in the near future. This allows my customers to customize their orders in a way thats perfect for them and has allowed me to develop gluten free options with almost all of my items.
My world famous cookies, brownies and seasonal treats can be purchased at local farmers markets or directly from us through our website or social media accounts.
